Lauren & Trevor, Pebble Beach Engagement Session

Pebble Beach is a small resort area between Monterey and Carmel in California.  Its dramatic coastline and worldclass resorts make Pebble Beach the perfect backdrop for a romantic get away.  My wonderful clients, Lauren and Trevor, spent a lot of time wooing each other in this magical location so lucky for me, they chose Pebble Beach for their engagement session.

Clenard Family, Coyote Point Family Portraits

A family of foodies, the Clenard parents are rockstars in the hospitality industry.  I met Shari a few years ago at Rosewood Sand Hill where she worked as the catering manager and oversaw all the weddings I photographed there.   My clients loved her composure and quality of service.  Shari has since moved to another function so we no longer work weddings together, so it was a treat to finally see her again and photograph her darling family.

Madrona Manor Wedding, featured on Wedding Channel

It’s such an exciting surprise when my clients’ beautiful weddings get picked up for a nation wide publication.  Hundreds, thousands of brides get married each year so to have one of my client’s day featured is a huge compliment to all the work they put in to make their dream vision a reality.  This time, Jenny and Ryan’s summer wedding was picked up by WeddingChannel.com as a feature on their “Wedding of the Day”.  With the help of Nancy Liu Chin’s vision and execution, the florals and design for this Madrona Manor wedding was classic with a chic and trendy twist. Hair and Makeup by a talented artist, Wow Pretty Jira.  See the original blog post here.

Yeh Family, Walnut Creek Family Portraits

Baby Nathan is barely a year old and already full of personality.  He’s so smiley, curious and sometimes even goofy, yes, goofy.  He loves cracking up at his daddy’s funny faces and makes the entire family laugh, including his photographer.  His mommy, Khe, and I used to work together at bananarepublic.com.  Before I left the corporate world to become a photographer, Khe and I once used to sit across each other in marketing meetings, exchanging dense information such as click through rates, conversion, comps and other big corporate terminology.   It’s so wonderful that I can continue having a relationship with my former co-workers in a whole new capacity, capturing their smiles and the essence of their happiness…  These are the moments when I look back and realize that I truly made the best decision leaving my retail career to pursue my passion and become a photographer.  Gratitude.

Emily & Victor, Rosewood Sand Hill Engagement Session

Emily and Victor’s long distance relationship means getting on a plane to spend time together or bonding over Dowton Abbey while apart.  Both are hard working physicians, training in their respective fields +600 miles apart.  But saying “I do” will finally unite them as they begin a journey as Mr. and Mrs. with a cross country move to Baltimore, MD.  I look forward to photographing Emily and Victor’s wedding at their family’s home followed by a reception at Kohl Mansion this summer.
