Recruiting, 2012 Wedding Photography Interns

Wedding Photography Intern | San Francisco and Bay Area, CA

Are you interested in the world of wedding photography?  Are you an energized follower of photography blogs, with an oh-so-special place in your heart for all things wedding?  Do you feel comfortable cheesin’ in front of the camera, working in a sometimes unpredictably fast paced environment?  Do you have the muscles and guns to lift weights throughout the day?  And most importantly, do you have a sense of humor?  If so, we think you’re Vero INTERN material!

What You’ll Be Doing

As an Intern, you will have the opportunity to be the dedicated assistant representing Vero Suh Photography.  You will work closely with the primary photographer (me!) to ensure that as a photography team, we deliver the best experience and customer service to our most important clients: the bride & groom, families, wedding guests and vendors.  In turn, you will have the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of what goes on behind the scenes of a wedding.  While there won’t be direct hands on teaching, this position will undoubtedly help you hone your own skills by watching and learning.  During downtime, feel free to ask questions as there are no subjects that are off limits because sharing is caring!

Responsibilities

*Owning the wedding day schedule and family portrait list.  Your job will be to help the photography team stay on timeline track.

*Keeping a close eye on photographer’s equipment and lenses, with the ability to roll and lift approx 50 lbs of equipment.

*In the absence of a wedding day coordinator, gathering family members to help manage and execute the family portrait list.

*Assisting with lighting (external flash set up, holding a spot light, etc) as needed.

Requirements

*Two (2) Weddings – full day commitment (10-12 hour day).

*Must be approachable, respectful and friendly with a strong sense of teamwork.

*The ability, and willingness, to adhere to verbal direction and creative critique.  A desire and hunger for wedding photography!

*Flexibility in a fast paced, unpredictable environment.

*Must provide your own transportation.

Interested?

Send me an email at vero@verosuh.com and answer the following questions to be considered for the position by February 15th.  Wedding season will begin in April 2012.

1.  Photography skill level and/or background?

2. Why are you interested in Wedding photography?

3. Who is your favorite photographer and why?

4.  What sets you apart and how will you contribute as part of a photography team?

5.  Link to your online portfolio.

Thank you!

Kaiya & Joey, Stanford Engagement

Stanford is a beautiful campus and it’s only fitting for Kaiya (alum) and Joey (ortho surgery resident) to choose their alma mater as the perfect spot for their engagement session.  But it’s beyond their pedigree that makes this couple so special.  It’s their love, dedication for one another and their inner beauty that makes them so enviable, both individually, but even more so when they’re together. Kaiya and Joey and will getting married in the heart of San Francisco later this Summer and I can’t wait to document their special day! Stay tuned…
